My Learning from 2021

This year has been full of small moments of learning (which program/app helps us do our work more efficiently, small shifts that help us show up more authentically to work each day, the impact of holding space for someone, etc.). Through these small moments there’s been huge amounts of growth for me personally in how I show up and most importantly, my mindset around how I work and our organization as a whole. I think the biggest learning of the year though, is how much more there is to learn! When you start to really dig into your work practices and the structure of the organization, I learned this year that the most challenging shift is in your own mindset. It’s simple to try a new task or habit or program, but it takes a huge amount of effort to shift the way that you frame how you work. I’m looking forward to a new year of growth, mistakes, learning, and evolving.

MY FAVORITE AHA MOMENT:

The ‘click’ of realizing that all our emotions are tied to universal needs we have that are either being met or not. It’s made a huge difference in processing how I feel and how I communicate with my team as well as listen to others and respond with compassion.
