About this tool

The donut tool helps paid staff to define roles and responsibilities when supporting someone by identifying:

  • Areas that are staff’s core responsibilities, either because they are important to that person or they keep them healthy and safe.
  • Areas where staff need to use judgement and creativity (try things out and experiment) to solve problems and make decisions.
  • Areas that are not staff responsibility.

Harassment or bullying behavior
Contains mature or sensitive content
Contains misleading or false information
Contains abusive or derogatory content
Contains spam, fake content or potential malware
